A true cup shape or “Christlieb” style reed, made originally for the Wolf fagottino, a narrow and smaller “baroque” bassoon reed shape, this shape is excellent when you are looking for a big “bassy” sound. Good for second bassoon and low passages. Some of the high range may be sacrificed.
