(Also known as “the banana” reed) Medium width “Asymmetric” shape. One side is a pure “Christlieb” Modified Mechler (M, Cup, Christlieb, Convex), Shape and the other side is a modified Knochenhauer, (K, Concave), shape. (only available in “medium” response).

This very unusual shape is truly asymmetric. One side is a pure convex, cup shape and the other is some sort of modified Knochenhauer shape. The overall “feeling” of the reed is somewhere between a Rieger#29 and an SR5 shape. The reed has a nice big dark sound, with maybe less focus than the SR1 or SR2 reeds. This reed also need a little more air than narrower or Knochenhauer shapes.
